Cheerleading.Com recognizes cheerleading and dance have evolved into activities requiring more athleticism and high- level skills. Complex stunting, tumbling and gymnastic maneuvers require strength and conditioning, as well as protective bracing and support.

Due to these increased athletic demands, Cheerleading.com proudly introduces our new sports medicine line, Sports Supports for Cheer!

Sports Supports for Cheer was developed and tested by collegiate cheerleaders. The Awesome Wrist, Liberty Ankle, The Show and Go Knee and the Double Down Elbow provide optimal compression and extra support for cheer and dance athletes of all ages and sizes. The products are constructed of a revolutionary woven 4-way stretch fabric with soft ribbed elastic straps. They are breathable, comfortable to wear, and black in color with a touch of fashionable fluorescent lime trim.

The Awesome Wrist is the first sports medicine product developed specifically for cheerleading. Wrist sprains and strains from stunting and tumbling occur as the hand is hyperextended (bent backwards). Our collegiate cheerleaders evaluated the product over an extended period of time and overwhelmingly chose the wrist brace over taping. The brace is made from ribbed elastic that is breathable, comfortable to wear and provides the needed support for cheerleading maneuvers.

The Liberty Ankle is a unique ankle product that incorporates the woven 4 way stretch fabric as a sleeve for the foot in combination with a ribbed elastic strap for circumferential compression and additional support. The stretch fabric sleeve provides compression and support for the foot arch and the ankle. The elastic strap is applied in a figure eight fashion around the ankle and under the foot for additional compression and support. While no brace can completely protect against injuries from cheer or dance, the Liberty Ankle Brace can limit the severity of a sprain. The brace also serves as a reminder the athlete may not be 100% when returning to activity during or following rehab.

The Show and Go Knee combines the 4 way stretch fabric as the knee sleeve with upper and lower ribbed elastic straps for circumferential compression, warmth and additional support during tumbling and dance routines.  The ribbed elastic straps allow the athlete to direct compression and support to areas of discomfort caused by conditions such as tendonitis and Osgood-Schlater.   It is also ideal for athletes recovering from injured or post-operative knees after rigid bracing is no longer required.

The Double Down Elbow is comprised of two components. The elbow sleeve, made with the 4 way stretch fabric provides optimal compression and warmth. The ribbed elastic straps can be positioned to direct compression to areas of discomfort, usually tendons inflamed from overuse. The brace is also an excellent product to wear during rehab and can be worn as the athlete returns to normal activity.

All of our supports are easy to clean and easy to use. Most importantly, they were designed and tested by collegiate cheerleaders.
